About Diablo Solar Services

Owners' Phil Deatsch and Tim Kruse's philosophy is simple:  We strive to provide a quick response time and a high standard of quality, both in terms of the material we use for solar pool heating and solar power photovoltaic systems, and in the way we install and service them. We believe in doing the job right the first time.

Phil & Tim have been in the solar industry for over 25 years. They founded Diablo Solar Services in 1984 and have grown the company to be the San Francisco Bay Area’s largest solar pool heating, solar electric and domestic hot water thermal company serving over 18,500 customers.

Special Equipment/Specialties:  Full in-house capability for technical design, and installation of solar systems for residential, commercial, and public properties. A staff with over 120 years of combined experience installing and servicing solar pool and solar power products, energy conservation devices, and other mechanical installations. Diablo Solar Services inc. features solar pool heating products by FAFCO, Inc., a worldwide leader in solar pool heating systems. Our solar electric photovoltaic modules are manufactured by SunPower, BP Solar, and other leading edge providers of high efficiency solar electric panels and systems.
